Pokémon Sapphire has a very special place in my heart, being the Pokémon game that I played over and over the most, throughout middle and high school. One of my absolute favorite aspects about this game, in addition to the music, are all the sound effects! While the SFX in most Pokémon games are almost identical across the generations, there is just something about Gen III’s sounds that stick out to me. And, for that reason, all of the customizable sounds on my phone are from that very soundtrack! :3

I posted a photo on Instagram a little while ago of a screenshot of my phone sounds, but thought it would be fun to also post an article with exactly which sounds correspond with which alerts. Not so much an educational or informational article, but I hope you enjoy reading about and listening to what sounds I hear when various events occur from my cellular device ^_~

Ring Tone: Encounter! Lass

This has been my ring tone for a few years now, so just that initial da-DIIING sound triggers me a little bit, in the way that an unexpected incoming call does X’D

Text Tone: Obtained a Berry!

The berry-picking ditties in the subsequent games just don’t compare to this one!
